Burgers and barbecues seem to go together, mixing the beef and chorizo will give you a great hit of protein. If you are grilling the beef patties on a your Barbecue, you can also toast your buns if you want.
200g minced beef
50g Chorizo, chopped
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tsp dried oregano
Pinch of salt
Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
1. Combining beef and chorizo gives you a 30 g hit of protein per burger. Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl. Wet you hands to stop the mixture sticking, then shape into two large or four small burger patties. Do this the day before and leave in the fridge if your planning ahead.
2. Barbecue for three minutes on one side, then flip and barbecue for 4-7 minutes on the other side, depending on how rare you like you burger. Load into a wholegrain bun with salad for a balanced meal.
