osso buccoIngredients

  • 4 pieces of veal osso buco
  • 1 glass red wine
  • Salt and pepper
  • Zest of each 1 lemon and 1 orange
  • 1-2 cups tomato sugo
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2-1 cup battuto
  • 2 baby carrots
  •  1 zucchini
  • 1/2 broccoli


  • Preheat oven to 180c (360f)
  • Gently brown the veal in a frying pan
  • Place in an oven dish with red wine, salt and pepper, lemon and orange zests, tomato sugo, garlic and buttato.
  • Cover with foil and bake in oven for 2 hours.
  • Serve with pan fried baby carrots, zucchini and broccoli.
